We are experiencing a technological revolution?
Very true, as demonstrated just recently, miraculous new ways of doing things are invented everyday. NASA reported their breakthrough way of fixing things in space with pride. Their answer: duct tape. Exactly, such a breaktrough is what we have all been waiting for, its the answer to our prayers. Now maybe they can just use that to fix their shuttles heatshield instead of messing around with experimental foam and whatnot, seeing as they have proudly proven the success of duct tape.

Everyone was really surprised when astronaut Sellers' safety-jet backpack came loose from his suit when performing a spacewalk. One colleague on board of the ISS coordinating the walk stated that he was really surprised it came loose after having seen Sellers bouncing around the shuttles cargohold. And he wasn't being sarcastic...what a wizkid. So to find a way to fix the problem, since they needed the backpack to be able to perform spacewalks safely, they asked the boys down in Houston to come up with a solution. In true Apollo 13 The Movie-style they came up with the genious DIY solution of duct tape. Man do I wish I had been there for all the excitement. There must have been a hell of a party after that moment of pure Einstein-ness. I applaud you NASA. I can't wait for what you come up with next.

As told by Foamy
Restaurants! I love eating at restaurants. Any restaurant. I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate eating anywhere else then my own grubby kitchen. However, certain restaurants have these little things about them that just piss me off! Like those restaurants that decide, when any one of their customers has a birthday, they have all their employees get together and run over to their table and sing their own hideously contribed version of "Happy Birthday". Who started this nonsense? Fine, it may be cute for your grandmother, or some shit like that, but, if you're eighty and under, you surely do NOT want to be embarrassed by this half-hearted jingle sung, out of key, by some half-witted food service!
If this happened to me, I'd wait for these clowns to get just close enough to my table, so that I can start swinging my eating utensils around wildly, maiming and disembowling anyone who is careless enough to get too close.
And when the police arrive, I'll just say "Well, officer, this large group of people came running towards me with a cake on fire. I thought I was being attacked, and acted accordingly."
Off the hook!

I also hate restaurants that do shit half-assed. Like when you ask for iced coffee, and all you get is a warm coffee with a cup of ice next to it.
That is NOT iced coffee!

Another thing that bothers me: Why is it that every time I'm stuffing my face, the waiter or waitress picks that exact moment to ask me how everything is? How do they expect me to answer if my mouth is full? I, personally, think they choose this inconvenient time just so they can assume all is well and scoot off before you can swallow your food and answer.
Me, I... I don't like these mind games. So I grab the person by their arm before they can leave, slowly finish chewing my food, and then give a twenty minute critique of the food they serve. Then, I ask them to replace the meal with a new one, because it went cold when they decided to interrupt me and waste twenty minutes of my time.
They should really work out a system where you can pay accordingly to how satisfied you were with your dining experience. That would kick ass. This way, you could take off a few bucks for each little annoyance.
Flat soda: minus a dollar! Ugly waitress picking her nose: minus three dollars! Screaming child that was not thrown out: minus ten dollars. I guarantee you'll have a better dining experience with these rules firmly in place.

Follow my foody advice, you fucking food-serving assholes!

Brought to you by Ill Will Press's Foamy in accordance with my opinion, hehe.

This is a whole lot about nothing....
Hi everyone, have any of you ever felt great, yet have an inkling of impending doom in the back of your head? Well i sure have. Great thing is that it's holidays for me this week, but also my birthday on the 5th! I know it is supposed to be a big deal turning 21 but to me its just any other birthday, of course i'm not saying thats bad. It's a reason to get wasted after getting all those nice little presents. I've asked my folks for a Wacom tablet so i can take my drawings to the next level via computer, maybe even revive some of the comics i had in mind. I know i'm a procrastinator. Million ideas floating around in my head about what i want to do, what i planned to do, but it's always a little harder to get to all of them before being distracted my something more fun. I'm sure you all know what i mean, hehe.
As far as that impending doom i mentioned, that would be uni of course. Classes again after holidays which i'm SO looking forward to...yeah right. But enough about that. All you other sports fans might like to know that the Red Sox are still on top (of course) seriously whooping some Tampa Bay arse yesterday. Manny livened things up in the sixth thankfully, reminding everyone that they needed some points, beginning a nice comeback. Anyway, there's also big news in the NFL-europe league, my Admirals are #1 so far, looking to repeat last years World Bowl victory! Oh yeah!

Before i forget, Key please hook me up with a link to Kat's latest performance ;) hehe i'm to lazy to search lol

Right, thats it for now, i'm gonna stare at the hail outside for a bit. Cheers,
Matt.

(LJ copy)

Suck my nuts.

Basic rants.

I can't stand them, hypocrites and the likes. They even made me go and check to see if i spelled hypocrites right. People who claim to be your friends, and belief they would never turn on you. They suck so much they would probably choke on an old moldy peanut hidden under the couch when they weren't even within 5 feet of it. Now that's some serious suckage. I won't even begin to explain, cause if you don't get it, well, Mr. T would have the perfect sentence. (Yes, i mean the very lame, "I pity the fool" bit....and i didnt even like the A-team much).

Next item up, French people. I told some people already, about the international project week. That's what it was called anyway. We had a sort of exchange last week with a school in Vallenciennes. Some of their students came here and students from our school went over there. Then we had a project assigned to us, which we had to solve in groups mixed from dutch and french students, with the added rule: everything in english. Problem: the french are shite at english. Out of the 25 or so french students, about 5 actually spoke some english. Not very well even. So communications where mostly handsignals, alcohol and pointing at fine girls. Oh and some poor english and google-translators. I laughed quite a bit during the presentations at the end of the week, and hurt my jaw from clenching it so as to not laugh aloud, cause you know, might be rude and all. Probably not very nice of me to laugh at french people wrestling with english pronounciation, but come on, karma owes me. And a word of wisdom: frenchies pee in their streets and wear their clothes 3 weeks straight before changing, haha. ew.

Last bit of rant for this update: my sister needs to be shot in the face. For reasons that will remain undisclosed for now.

On music

The Wreckers finally released a video last this March. Or, the finally part would apply to Maverick of course, since they are the ones causing the years of delay. But the video....well i like it, its got Jess looking hot, and Michelle looking good, and it's got the good music, and most importantly there's finally something NEW from them. But dang. Could it be more country? I can't wait for both of theirs solo music to return.
Also, Jackson made me like the Faders, but of course its also part to the leadsinger being one hot bird. hehe.

On movies

I was wondering, what ever happened to the DaVinci Code movie that was supposed to be made? I'd definitely go see it, I just hope they get the actors right and don't cut to much from the story. Oh man, I haven't been to the movies in too long, I so need to go.
And hey, Saw 2. I saw the opening scene on someone's laptop the other day, pretty cool haha. I didn't see the first one though, since the concept seemed quite lame to me, but I might see it someday. I've seen to many horror movies to find them that gory or scary though, but I still enjoy them. With that said, last years Wolf Creek was pretty weak.

You know what, I'm gonna do something else now, I'm bored, but I might update a bit sooner next time, with maybe some interesting stuff for a change. Mainly blogs are just blah to me....my own that is.
Anyway, stay chill.

Ps: people, y'all need to get your arse on msn more often, I will if you will :D

Strength in numbers
Thursday, nearly a week ago, i started to feel the tell-tale signs i always feel before i get sick, sore neck and such, so i was really happy at my week off being cut short by getting sick, whoopee! Yay me. So Friday i spent the whole day in bed with the flu, but miraculously i was better again on Saturday, went out, did some lazy hanging about online telling everyone i'd be online that evening and such (and was). And Sunday, the usual DIY'ing around the house, made dinner for my folks like the good son i am. And of course dreading school the next day.
Well, in a way you could say i was lucky not having to go to school the next day after all, but i'm not going to say that because the reason blew. I woke monday morning with a splitting headache. And it just wouldnt let up so all i could do was sleep. Whenever i was awake i had that bloody headache, so Tuesday afternoon i had enough and finally took some asperine. And the sucker didnt even work. Tuesday evening i got my hands on large dose asperines, and they did the trick, so since then i've been living on those, fever is almost gone aswell. So thats kind of the reason why i have been MIA, if any of you noticed. And yeah, it was "just" the flu, and not that killer birdflu thing, so dont worry. Yay for getting better! *knocks on wood*
So, thats pretty much the graphic, and probably TMI type update for now, see you all around,
Cheers, M.
